1st Annual Gonzaga Thanksgiving Run

First place Female 30-39 in the 10K (48 mins) !

Nice run along Mt Vernon Trail and the Potomac - a little chilly and overcast. This was organized by high school sophomores at Gonzaga . Their goal was to raise $6000 and they raised $8000. very inspiring to see them working together and see young people and their families doing this race too !

Pictures of the gorgeous trees at the second one at Wakefield, (flattest and fastest - a PR of 44 mins).

Then a pic of me and Peace Bransberger (she took 2nd and I took 3rd - camera phone pics) at the 3rd on Nov 19. By far the toughest - hilliest, wetest. It is the site of EX2's most challenging adventure race (AR) - VentureQuest... .

Bike New York Rocked!

Beautiful Day for it (unlike last year when it rained for most) and the 30,000 who turned out. Next year is the 5th anniversary of it! http://www.bikenewyork.org/BNY-TOUR.htm

For more photos of our NYC trip visit my Snapfish album.

For photos of the tour you can also check out www.flickr.com and search for Five Boro Bike Tour or Bike New York, you'll see a lot of great shots during the actual ride...

And in a few days you'll be able to see professional action pics they took for the first time this year at http://www.brightroom.com/view_event.asp?EVENTID=11571 , my bib and helmet number are 64159.

EX BYB3 race photos posted / Nation's Tri is ON!

1. Photos are now posted at Will Ramos' site. If you haven't ever looked at this site, it's well worth a visit - beautiful photos.

http://www.waramos.com/

Click on BYB#3 then enter my bib # (77) to see some good ones - from the beginning of the race and later on during a tough hill ! (:

2. It sounds like the Nation's Tri is on for Sep 17. If you pre-register on the site you'll get 24 hours to register for the race before the general public once the official announcement is made. They're just "clearing up" permits to swim in the Potomac (no pun intended). Wetsuit mandatory ?!
